Since its inception, Thrive Chicago has brought together 600 individuals representing nearly 200 organizations to accomplish the shared objective of supporting Chicago youth from cradle to career. We are employing a collective impact strategy to achieve this goal. Collective impact describes the commitment of a diverse group of leaders all working toward a common agenda for solving complex social problems.

For Thrive, that has included experts and stakeholders from the nonprofit, business, government, education and philanthropy sectors willing to come together and align individual efforts supporting city youth. The diagram below shows the vision, mission, milestones, outcomes, contributing indicators, and contextual indicators that we have collectively agreed upon to frame our work. To operationalize this, we use collective impact strategies, Change Networks and continuous data collection and analysis.
